Burleigh Ware Sugar and Creamer

I thought my first post could include one of my favourite pieces (so hard to choose), which is a cute sugar and creamer set made by Burleigh Ware.  Gorgeous 1950s colours and I love the pattern detail. I think this came from an antique shop somewhere along the way.

Burleigh Ware is from the Burgess & Leigh pottery, founded in Burslem, Staffordshire in 1851.  They are well known for their Art Deco pottery but also produced various modernist designs in the 1950s.  This Burgess & Leigh Burslem England Burleigh Ware beehive printed mark was introduced circa 1940.
